How our ready to wear is cut, how to measure yourself, and what to do if you are between sizes.
How to measure
Measure over the underclothes you would actually wear with the outfit, with the tape snug but not pulled tight. If you can, have someone else do it — measuring your own back is where most of the error comes in.
- Bust — around the fullest part, tape level under the arms.
- Waist — the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
- Hip — around the fullest part, roughly eight inches below the waist.
- Shirt length — from the shoulder seam straight down to where you want the hem.
Our standard chart
These are body measurements, not garment measurements — we add the ease. Shirt length is listed on each product because it varies by cut.
- XS — bust 32in, waist 26in, hip 35in
- S — bust 34in, waist 28in, hip 37in
- M — bust 36in, waist 30in, hip 39in
- L — bust 38in, waist 32in, hip 41in
- XL — bust 40in, waist 34in, hip 43in
- XXL — bust 42in, waist 36in, hip 45in
If you are between sizes
Order the larger one and say so in the order notes. Taking a seam in before dispatch is free and takes a day; letting one out is limited by the seam allowance, which is why we would rather start big.
Unstitched
Suit lengths are cut generously enough for a full sleeve up to size L. Above that, check the fabric length on the product page before ordering, or ask us on WhatsApp and we will measure the bolt for you.
Jewellery
Rings and most bangles are adjustable and listed as such. Where a bangle is a fixed size, the internal diameter is on the product page — measure across the widest part of your hand with the thumb tucked in.
